I’ve been using it for about 3 days now and it has just started working. The only issue I have with it is that it feels like I have really intense gas pains. I’m assuming that it’s the process of pushing everything out that is causing the pain. My sister assured me that this is what the cause was.

I am going to be honest with you. Acai berry did absolutely nothing for me, well that’s not true. I lost a grand total of 3 pounds which easily could have been water weight. Now I’m not trying to make you a sales pitch hear but I think you should look into this. I then tried another "free trial" weight loss thing and it was colon maxx. I lost 10x what I did then Acai. Essentially colon maxx flushes your colon/liver/body of harmful toxins so that your body is set back to it’s natural state. I think it might be a scam because I saw it on two infomercials, one involving some tool named Donald Barrett who has done "shows" (an infomercial disguised as a show) with Kevin Trudeau, and I’m sure everyone knows how much of a straight shooter Kevin is. The colon cleansing infomercial was with someone named Klee or Clee something (and Donald), but.. it all kind of sounded like BS. I don’t think feces would build up on the walls of your colon, but then again I was sort of worried since he said it was basically mucous in the colon. Worried me because I accidently swallow a lot of mucous a lot because I’m congested in the mornings quite a bit. So is colon cleansing real or is it a hoax to make money off of the ignorant?

High colonics (or enemas) are useful if you are bound up and need to loosen that which is ‘stuck’. Any mucous going through your stomach is going to be broken down by the hydrochloric acid in your stomach. People with insufficient fiber in their system do not have the same efficient peristaltic waves to push waste through, and so you can have little bits stuck along the sides, and an enema CAN knock you down several pounds (ugly, but true…). Still, that or laxatives are not something you should use unless your doctor directs you to.

That site is kind of like the medical version of snopes.com. The article talks about the whole "colon cleansing" fad. The general conclusion seems to be that colon cleansing is unnecessary, and may or may not be harmful.

If you think about it, after millions of years of evolution, it wouldn’t make sense that your colon couldn’t take care of cleaning itself. Colon cleansing, though promoted by "natural health" types, is a very unnatural thing to do.

I’m working on getting back into shape & my mother bought me some Fiber colon cleanse. Ok I am fasting for the first time in my life to get on the right track to a healthier lifestyle.. Ive been fasting for a little over a week and have been reading a lot about it. Really depends on the detox and how bad everything in your body was before. I’ve done a few detoxes and they’ve been different for me each time. Generally, I started to notice a difference after about the 2nd or 3rd day.
Don’t just jump back into regular foods after your body is cleansed though, gradually ease yourself on, starting with natural foods, vegetables, etc and in small portions.

It is really not a pleasant thing at first, but highly addictive!!! I have heard that fasting can do miracles for your energy level and overall well being. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start and how to proceed? I also have heard that you must detox your colon prior to a fast otherwise you can get poisoned. Is it true and how do you do it?

Drink plenty of fluids for a good week.
Eat lots of vegetables.
Lots of vegetables.
No meat.
Once you think you are good and clean, drink broth.
Drink broth for a week and then, you can fast.
Make the broth from the vegetables, no meat.

You do know that the colon cleanse, doesn’t do anything for your overall health. Stick to a colonoscopy when your doctor calls for it, and don’t use Colon Blow without a real need.

I have heard to help lose weight one should do a colon cleanse to get rid of toxins. I just want to know what I can do with out spending lots of money.

I love questions like this. There are hundreds of books out there that say something like "death begins in the colon" and "cleanse the toxins" and other rubbish.

While there is truth to poor diets causing ill health (Americans eat a lot of fat and have a very high incidence of colon cancer), there’s a lot of myths too.

Fiber is the key. Instead of looking for miracle cures, adapt a healthy lifestyle. Eat whole-fiber, low fat foods and read labels. (While you’re at it, cut down on the salt too). Just reaching the FDA’s recommended allowance of fiber daily can be a challenge. (No more fast food!) Also, drink plenty of water. You can’t flush out the bad if it’s stuck like a rock inside of you. (Constipation hurts). Finally, exercise. Along with all the other health benefits (and burning calories, duh) regular exercise will promote peristalsis (the regular movement of stuff through your insides).

Seriously though, it takes some work to keep yourself healthy. Keep at it. And please stay away from people who are going to shove stuff where it doesn’t belong and "flush you out". That’s really not good for you. Also, stay away from laxatives unless your doctor suggests it. They can have very bad side effects.

Just eat right and exercise.

Footnote: Enemas and Go-Lytly are not good! You can severely imbalance your sodium and postassium levels! (read: heart failure) Don’t stick things up there unless a doctor (a real doctor) tells you to!

got a product and consulted with a health person that they work for cleansing purposes, but does cleaning out your colon work? And how long does it take with pills to do it? How can you tell if it is working? and does it make you smell, I mean it makes since if it is getting the toxins out of your body that it would make you smell more….But will it really help me loose weight? and will you continue to loose weight after you stop taking it with your body cleaner? just any knowledge on colon cleansing will help. Stress will certainly do it. Try meditation or breathing exercises to relax, then be sure to eat plenty of fruit and fiber while drinking plenty of water each day. You didn’t say how old you are. Doing a colon cleanse is a good thing but the rules have to be followed for you to do it in a healthy manner. There is a tea that you can get from your health food store. It is a TEA NOT a SYSTEM. Follow the directions. Also try drinking more water to keep hydrated. Try more salads and fruits. Stay away from junk, you konw the junk I’m talking about! The teenage junk food!

I hear models do it all the time to lose weight and cleanse their colons of excess weight. I looked up what it is but nothing answered my question. What does colon cleansing do? How long should you do it for? And what all should you eat during that time?

there is not specific diet per say for a colon cleanse. i gave used the walmart brand of colon cleanse for 9 bucks, and the acai product for 8 dollars, don’t buy into the hype of the guys and girls that will post here to go to a specific website, that is a scam as they charge u around 90 bucks for the same thing that walmart has. if you want to for the 2 weeks at the beginning you can cut out meat and eat fruits and vegis.

Hi I used one which worked for me pretty well. I always had that bloated feeling and I tried some of those yoghurt drinks but they didnt do the trick. Its quite scary when you read what can be stored up inside you and the risk of cancer that goes with it. After I been using it I did fell a lot better inside, hard to say how it felt, just felt lighter inside. If you are going to try it why not get one of the trials that are out there. I’m 19 (but I’ll be 20 this February) and I want to ask my doctor for a colon cleanse. I’m afraid that she will just give me an automatic "No." because she might think I’m too young to get one, but I think I could really benefit from one right now. You just need to ask your doctor about getting one and she will either say yes or give you a referral to someone who will be able to do it (because she may not perform this in her office) You are old enough to get one also some Spa’s actually offer this to.. As far as I can tell, there are no proven weight loss benefits from the acai berry, juice, or capsules.

It does seem to be a great supplement (I take it, but don’t sell the stuff!) and is full of anti oxidents, which help prevent damage to your body. But that’s what you should take it for, not weight loss or fat burning.

The acai berry itself is an amazing thing – has a lot of anti oxidents etc and is really good for you.

But there’s nothing really to suggest in scientific terms that it helps with weight loss.

And there are a lot of scams out there, be careful where you buy it from!

I take it, and I think I feel healthier and better. But it’s not some type of magic formula, sorry.

You can buy it in different forms – juice, capsules, etc. Or as a powder which you can add to other juices or smoothies.

You can buy it online, but be careful. Lots of sites selling it have a "free offer" thing, but to get it you have to sign up to a programme which sends you the stuff every month and bills you huge sums of money. Personally, I wouldn’t buy from a website which is a company I’ve never heard of, there are too many scam artists in the business. If you are looking on-line, personally I’d go for a company which sells more than just one thing, and has a range of supplements or juices, they are more likely to be in it for the long term and not ripping you off.

You can also buy it in local health food shops, do a search for ones near you. I’ve bought it from Amazon, and from Holland and Barrett, which is a UK health food shop.

Before you do a colon cleanse, make sure it is o.k. with your parents. It is not painful and is safe. If you go to your local health store and ask for an all natural colon cleanse, they can help you. I have extremely frequent diarrhea from food intolerances and I want to find a way to stop it without completely stopping eating the foods (carbohydrates). What causes diarrhoea?
Too much fluid is passed (secreted) from the blood-stream into the bowel, for example in gastroenteritis. This is how some laxatives work.
The bowel moves its contents through too quickly and too little fluid is passed back into the bloodstream. This is one way in which anxiety produces diarrhoea.
More liquid is drunk than the bowel can cope with – this seldom happens, but is one way in which drinking too much beer can cause diarrhoea.

What causes acute diarrhoea?

Food poisoning
Gastroenteritis (see separate leaflet on the prevention and treatment of travellers’ diarrhoea)
Anxiety
Sometimes treatment with an antibiotic
Alcohol (to excess)

What causes chronic diarrhoea?

#Arsenicum. [Ars]
That excellent and truly homoeopathic work on diarrhoea by Dr. J.B.Bell contains the indications for some one hundred and forty remedies in this complaint. The following are perhaps the more often indicated. Arsenicum, it may be said, is always thought of in diarrhoea. Given a case of diarrhoea, and two remedies always come to mind, namely, Arsenicum and Veratrum, and immediately the distinguishing features of these are gone over much in this way:

Arsenicum. Stools in small quantities. Restlessness, anguish and intolerance of pain. Thirst for small quantities and often. The prostration and weakness are out the stool, of all proportion to stool.

Veratrum album. Profuse stools. No restlessness, anguish, intolerance of pain. Great thirst for large quantities of cold water. Great prostration follows not more, however,than profuseness warrants.

The two remedies are easily distinguished, and it would it seem to be the height of imbecility to alternate them. The grand characteristics of Arsenicum in diarrhoea , therefore, are:
1. The small quantity. 2. The dark color. 3. The offensive odor. 4. The great prostration following.
Another grand feature is the burning in the rectum, which almost amounts to a tenesmus. The stools of Arsenicum are dark yellow, undigested, slimy or bloody ; they are often dark green and very offensive; they are worse at night and after eating or drinking. China, Ferrum and Arsenicum all have undigested stool coming on after eating. Among the principal causes of the diarrhoea calling for Arsenicum, and one which would be an additional indication, is chilling of the stomach by cold food, ice water or ice cream. It is also the remedy for diarrhoea from tainted food and so-called ptomaine poisoning. It hardly seems possible that Arsenicum with these characteristics could be misprescribed.

#Veratrum album. [Verb]
The characteristics of Veratrum album are no less well marked than are those of Arsenicum. They are as follows:
1. A profuse watery stool, forcible evacuated. 2. Pain in the abdomen preceding stool. 3. Great prostration following stool. 4. Cold sweat , coldness and blueness of the body generally.

The stools of Veratrum are watery, containing therein flakes, and are commonly called rice-water discharges. Preceding the stool is a severe pinching colic in the abdomen , and this pain is apt to continue during the stool. Nausea,too, is often an accompaniment. Cramps in the feet and legs may also be present.
Jatropha has a profuse watery discharge, evacuated with great force, and the patient is cold as under Veratrum; but with Jatropha a great quantity of wind escapes. Cuprum is also similar in many respects to Veratrum. Here the cramps are very severe and extend to the chest; it has the vomiting and purging of Veratrum, but not the cold sweat. Among the prominent general symptoms of Veratrum is the great thirst for very cold water in large draughts.
From personal experience I believe Veratrum acts better in the higher potencies in diarrhoea ; in the lower potencies it may produce unfavorable results from too sudden stoppage of the discharges, while in the higher potencies, 12th,30th etc., its acts tuto, cito et jocunde.

#Cinchona officinalis. [Cinch]
Arsenicum and Veratrum in a certain case having been excluded, perhaps the next remedy coming to mind is Cinchona. Indeed, it may come to mind at once if the diarrhoea be a painless one. Cinchona, Podophyllum and Phosphoric acid have painless stools. Or, if the stool be undigested, it will come promptly to mind along with Podophyllum and Ferrum, which is a very efficient remedy in painless diarrhoea. The characteristic Cinchona diarrhoea is a painless one, of a cadaverous odor. It is slimy, bilious, blackish and mixed with undigested food; it is worse at night and after eating , with a rapid exhaustion and emaciation, and this exhaustion, emaciation and debility at once distinguish the remedy from Phosphoric acid, which is similar, lacking the debility , but having the following:
1. Rumbling in abdomen. 2. Perspiration of the whole body. 3. Thin watery painless stools. 4. Much thirst.

The Cinchona diarrhoea is worse after eating , here resembling Ferrum and Arsenicum . If it be caused or made worse by fruit, it is an additional characteristic indication for its use. It is a great favorite in summer diarrhoeas, also Iris versicolor, when there is much sour vomiting. Cinchona has a similar thirst to Arsenicum, the patient drinks little and often , but it lacks the burning to Arsenicum. Diarrhoeas coming on after attacks of acute illness areoften met by Cinchona. It also corresponds to the chronic diarrhoeasof aged persons.

#Sulphur. [Sulph]
The diarrhoea of sulphur is very characteristic. It has changeable stools, yellow , watery, slimy, and in scrofulous children may contain undigested food. It is worse in the morning about four or five O’clock, when it wakens the patient and drives him out of bed in great haste. For these early morning diarrhoeas we have a number of remedies. Bryonia is one , but the stool of Bryonia comes on after the patient has been up a while and has moved about, here presenting the worse-from-motion symptom of that drug. Natrum sulphuricum is another; it has morning stool associated with a great deal of flatus, and it comes on usually as soon as the patient stands on his feet in the morning, or sometimes during the forenoon. Rumex crispus is another and it has exactly the same symptom as Sulphur, but it is usually associated with cough. Podophyllum is another and perhaps the most similar to Sulphur in this respect. It hurries the patient out of bed and it has changeable stools,but it is more apt to continue throughout the day and is associated with soreness in the liver. There is with Sulphur a tendency to rectal soreness, there is itching and soreness at the anus, the stools being acrid and excoriating.
Phosphorus has a morning painless stool and so has Dioscorea, but the colicky pains of this remedy starting from the umbilicus and radiating to all parts of the body should be easily distinguish. Petroleum has early morning stools associated with emaciation. They differ from Sulphur in occurring also throughout the day. Kali bichromicum has also a watery gushing stool coming on in the morning and followed by tenesmus. The stools of Sulphur are offensive and the odor of the stool follows the patient about as if he had soiled himself.The stools often alternate between constipation and diarrhoea, and if haemorrhoids be present it is an additional good indication for Sulphur. A diarrhoea of mucus streaked with blood, preceded by colic, is also often found under the remedy.

#Aloes. [Aloe]
Aloes is a remedy whose chief action is on the rectum. It produces a constant desire to stool, and the passages are accompanied with a great deal of flatus. The great characteristic of the drug feeling of uneasiness, weakness, and certainly about the rectum; there is a constant feeling as if stool would escape, the patient dares not pass flatus for fear of the escape of faeces. This condition is met with in children sometimes, they pass faeces when passing flatus. Aloes resembles Sulphur, Thuja and Bryonia in having an early morning stool; like Sulphur wakens the patient and hurries him out of bed to the toilet. It is worse from eating but it seldom continues during the day. The weakness of the sphincter ani is also found under Phosphoric acid, where we have also stools escaping with the flatus. The Aloes patient will also pass stool when urinating. Haemorrhoids which are characteristically swollen and sore accompany the Aloes stool. The stool themselves are yellow and pasty or lumpy and watery, and before the stool there are griping pains across the lower part of the abdomen and around the navel. These pains also continue during stool and passage usually relieves them. The essentials are:
1. The lumpy, watery stool. 2. The intense griping across the lower parts of the abdomen before and during stool, leaving after stool. 3. The extreme prostration and perspiration following.

#Croton tiglium. [Crot]
Croton tiglium is one of the great homoeopathic remedies for diarrhoea , which might readily be imagined from the prompt action of the drug in the minutest doses of the crude substance in the intestinal canal. Its characteristics are a yellowish, watery stool pouring out like water from a hydrant, and especially associated with nausea and vomiting and aggravated by eating and drinking. There are a number of drugs which are very similar to Croton tiglium and they may be mentioned here. The first is Elaterium. This is a remedy for frothy, copious, forcible diarrhoeas preceded by cutting in abdomen, chilliness, prostration and colic. They are always gushing and may be olive-green in color. The second is Gratiola; this has a gushing watery diarrhoea coming out like water from a hydrant; the stools are yellowish green and frothy and there is associated with them a cold feeling in the abdomen. The third is Jatropha.
This has a profuse, gushing, watery diarrhoea; but here there is much wind and flatulence and great prostration. The fourth is Gamboge. This has a stool expelled "all at once", with much relief following. Stools thin and watery. The characteristics of the stool of Croton tiglium are:
1. The yellow, watery stool. 2. The sudden expulsion. 3. The aggravation from drink and food; and to this we may add the quite common accompaniment of nausea, preceded by a little pain in the abdomen.

#Rheum. [Rheum]
One symptom always leads to the thought of this drug, and that is sourness of stools and of the whole body, though Rheum is not only remedy for sour stools nor are sour stools the only indication for Rheum; indeed, they may be wanting in sourness and Rheum still be the remedy. For sour stools, besides Rheum, we have notably Calcarea carbonica, Magnesia carbonica and Hepar. Magnesia carbonica is said to follow Rheum well, and, besides sourness, it has the frothy, green, frog-pond scum stool, and it is especially suitable to infants when the stools are of the above character and accompanied with discharge flatus and much crying. Debility is also characteristic of the remedy.
Characteristic among the symptoms of Rheum, besides the sourness, is a griping colic often followed by tenesmus. In color, the stools are brown and frothy, and usually sour; they are worse from motion and after eating. Chilliness during stool is also characteristic. The continuance ;of the colic after the stool also suggests the remedy.

#Podophyllum. [Podo]
Podophyllum, as we have seen, has an early morning diarrhoea. The stools are watery, yellow, profuse,forcible and occur without pain any time from three o’clock to nine in the morning, and a natural stool is apt to follow later in the day. It occurs, too, immediately after eating resembling cinchona and Colocynth, and it has still another resemblance to Colocynth in its colic, which is relieved by warmth and bending forward. Following the diarrhoea of Podophyllum is a sensation of great weakness in the abdomen and rectum, this weakness o;f the rectum being a great characteristic of the remedy. The rectum prolapses before the faeces are evacuated; here it differs from the prolapses which would call for Ignatia, Carbo vegetabilis and Hamamelis.
Podophyllum has proved useful in the diarrhoea of dentition when cerebral symptoms are present. Sometimes a headache will alternate with the diarrhoea. This also occurs with Aloes. The stools of Podophyllum are often undigested; and here the remedy touches China and Ferrum, which are the great remedies for undigested stools. A deposit of mealy sediment further indicates the remedy in diarrhoeas of children. Podophyllum and Mercurius have some symptoms in common; both affect the liver both affect the liver, both have a tongue taking the imprint of the teeth, but the stool of Mercurius is accompanied by straining. The great characteristics of Podophyllum may be thus summed up: 1. Early morning stools. 2. Watery, pasty yellow or undigested stools, forcibly expelled. 3. Painless. 4. Weakness in the rectum following stool. Podophyllum also resembles Calcarea carbonica and Phosphoric acid in many respects; the rapid debility and exhaustion distinguish it from the acid, and the absence of general Calcarea symptoms from the acid, and the absence of general Calcarea symptoms from CALCAREA. It is especially useful in the obstinate diarrhoeas of unhealthy infants in the 3x dilution.

#Mercurius. [Merc]
Straining at stool is the great characteristic of Mercurius, and this is more marked under Mercurius corosivus than under the solubilis. The former is the great homoeopathic remedy for dysentery. It may be remarked, in passing, that the allopaths have recently discovered this application of Mercurius corrosivus. The stools of Mercury are slimy and bloody, accompanied by a straining and tenesmus which does not seem to let up; so we have what is characteristically described as a never-get-done-feeling. There is accompanying, much hepatic soreness, flabby tongue taking imprint of the teeth, and before the stool there is violent urging and perhaps chilliness. Bayes praises Mercurius in a diarrhoea of yellow or clay-colored stool. A sickly smell from the mouth is characteristic of the remedy, and if the ready perspiration so characteristic of Mercurius be present the choice is easy. Prolapsus of the rectum may follow the stool.

#Calcarea. [Calc]
Calcarea should never be overlooked in any intestinal trouble; as we have seen, it is one of the great remedies for sour stools, and for undigested stools. It is one of our best remedies for chronic diarrhoea, its symptoms produced by the provers are very few, yet prescribed for its general symptoms it has proved very useful, for it is just in a genuine Calcarea patient that one usually finds diarrhoea.Diarrhoes occurring during dentition in infants with open fontanelles call for Calcarea. Calcarea phosphorica, too, is a very useful remedy in these diarrhoeas, but the diarrhoea of Calcarea phosphorica is distinguished by being a spluttering diarrhoea, forcibly expelled, but watery, greenish, or undigested, and with a great deal of offensive flatus. Calcarea carbonica is more suited to fat children. Calcarea phosphorica to those who are old and wrinkled. Both of these remedies, as well as Silicea and Sulphur, come in most frequently in the diarrhoeas of scrofulous and rachitic children. In the Calcarea carbonica patient there is usually a ravenous appetite, and, as in Phosphoric acid, the stools do not seem to weaken. This is especially true of another of the Calcareas, Calcarea acetica. Prescribe for the patient instead of the diarrhoea at all times,but more especially if Calcarea be given.

#Phosphorous. [Phos]
Phosphorous is especially a remedy for chronic forms of diarrhoea. It has green mucous stools worse in the morning, often undigested and painless. The stools pass as soon as they enter the rectum,and contain white particles like rice or tallow. Apis has a sensation as if the anus stood open, and the involuntary escape of faeces in Phosphorous reminds also of Aloes. Chronic,painless diarrhoea of undigested food call sometimes for Phosphorus. It is profuse and forcible and aggravated by warm food, and the patient often vomits; in fact, one of the characteristics of Phosphorous is the vomiting of what has been drunk as soon as it becomes warm in the stomach. With the diarrhoea there is a weak, gone feeling in the stomach, and perhaps burning between the shoulders. The frog spawn, or sago, or grain of tallow stool is most characteristic of the remedy.

#Argentum nitricum. [Arg]
Argentum nitricum is quite similar to Arsenic in many ways. The stools are green, slimy and bloody,like chopped spinach in flakes. Aconite has a green stool like spinach. With the stool there is a discharge of flatus and much spluttering, as in Calcarea Phosphorica. The stools are worse from any candy, sugar, or from drinking. The sudden attacks of cholera infantum in children who have eaten too much candy will often be removed by Argentum nitricum. The children are thin, dried up looking, and it seems as if the child had but one bowel and that extended from the mouth to the anus. Another characteristic of Argentum nitricum is its use in diarrhoea brought on by great mental excitement, emotional disturbance, etc.
Gelsemium is one of the most prominent remedies for diarrhoea produced by fright or fear; it appears suddenly and the stools are yellow and papescent. Opium has diarrhoea from fright and so has Veratrum album. Pulsatilla, too, may be indicated in diarrhoea from fright; the stools are greenish yellow and changeable. Dulcamara has diarrhoea from changes in the weather or in temperature, as in those employed in packing house who change frequently from hot to cold, or diarrhoea in the mountains where the midday is hot and the nights excessively cool.There are a number of minor remedies for diarrhoea , but these very minor remedies become of major importance when they are closely indicated.

I was going to revisit my old church, when I contacted them (the pastor) he acted like everything was fine. A memo later, I found out that everyone stopped going to services there because the pastor did something unspeakable, not too mention that it just would not be fair to mention it but it was a sin and it came to the attention of several of the members. Okay, so if that is not bad enough, I continued with a note towards the person who had accused the pastor of the sin, to try to calm the situation: bad judgment totally.

Did you see the video clip? Were you able to picture someone you know in the video? Do you see the role that Satan plays in our lives once we give into temptation and temptation leads into sin?

The Devil
The devil is here to destroy us, our relationships, our own sense of self: the soul.

The Judgment
It is not our job to judge. It is our job to assist people towards repentance by letting them know if they have done some sin but G_d really calls us to repentance and reconciliation. If we did this on our own, the result is much more different than when G_d is in it.

The Lord, Almighty
This is an excellent time to move away thinking about what G_d’s mindset is towards our sins. It is important to understand, to be merciful, to be able to move away enough to put the situation back in G_d’s arms again. We take over, we judge, we want our justice served. But when we ourselves are before G_d, our sins are covered by the blood of Christ Jesus. He not only covers it, but He takes on our sins and cleanses us, His love transforms us and brings us back into a loved state. Not an angry state, not a you against us state, but a state where the soul, mind, body can be renewed into a new relationship with G_d. G_d not our sins become the true focus.
The Holy Spirit
Well, it has yet to come to fruition or has it. You can justify everything you do by biblical scripture except love. We never pull out the love of G_d. We will know them by their fruits Galatians 5:22-26

19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. But before all of this I posted a question that read, Do you think Pastors and other religious leaders should be held to ?
higher level of accountability if they fall into sin?

Well, now no one is talking to me at my old church.

Should I apologize now is the whole I dug to deep? I wanted to keep quiet but the man who accused him was hell bent on getting a confession out of the pastor in front of the whole church and now everyone is gossiping and it is just not kewl. It is definitely not in keeping with the fruits of the spirit, especially the whole provoking each other.

Is open confession the only way to solve this matter? Any thoughts? This just happened yesterday and the guy who accused him wrote a 16-page document listing Pastors offenses in a time-line so yes he has proof.

I just want quiet prayer right now.

Certainly not all churches are like this and I left the church because I moved 2 hours away to be closer to my job. I was already 1 hour away before I moved.
I totally agree that it is none of my business but out of my defense I totally had know knowledge that things were falling apart until the last memo reached me late last night, but I will be offering up an apology just the same.
I do not want to change religions at this time but thank you just the same, I was just going to visit them not stay. Besides, I feel like the situation could change for the positive just as long as G_d is in it. Who knows?
I thought I was close to them, the video is a skit so technically it was supposed to be a little dramatic, but as for talking with them, as friends we exchange bible verses, e-cards, and chitchat about peace and love, this was a schism that happened while I was pretty much on my way to a new church, but like I said, I will apologize, it is sad for me. I am writing the apology as we talk, I was just trying to help not sink the ship with slam-dunk sinball of badness.

So, just so you know, I watched the video, and found it rather touching, especially with the Lifehouse song.

With that said, if the accusations are true, and he has proof, then the pastor should be held accountable for his actions by the law, if the action is illegal. If not, then continue to try and inform your fellow church goers that Christianity is not about judgment. That’s your Gods job. Christians are only supposed to support those who repent from their sins. If your pastor will admit to making a mistake, and repent (not publicly though, unless ever other church goer is willing to do the same), then let bygones be bygones. Try to get that across to your fellows.

i’ve been constipated for over a week and i’m having really bad stomach pains. i’ve been taking laxatives for the past few days but they aren’t helping that much. i’ve had a little diarrhea because of them, but it’s not enough. sometimes it’s almost impossible to walk it hurts so bad. i’ve already taken two laxatives today (bisacodyl 5 mg), my third day trying, but it’s too early to tell if they’ll actually work this time. so i was going to do a natural colon cleanse tonight as well. is this too much? what should i do?!?!
the pains i’m talking about aren’t caused by the laxatives, since the pains were way worse before i started taking them. and even though it’s been well over a week, i have had some diarrhea which means there isn’t a complete block, right? meaning it’s maybe not that serious?

There could be many reasons you have the stomach pain and some diarrhea. Sometimes the constipation can cause very hard stool to form a partial blockage, then taking laxatives causes some loose stool to seep around the hard stool as diarrhea. This usually happens in older people who are not active but at times can happen to others.

Other explanations could be a partial blockage in the small or large intestine from some physical reason. An example would be scar tissue bands from previous abdominal surgery. And all sorts of inflammatory diseases (like diverticulitis of the colon) can cause severe pain and slowing of the intestinal transit time. Or it could be Irritable Bowel Syndrome, diabetes, or sometimes medications. The point is there are many causes of constipation and abdominal pain.

Taking a colon cleanse may worsen you symptoms if you have a partial obstruction or inflammation. You have had symptoms for over a week without relief. If it hasn’t straightened out by now it’s time to see a health care provider and find out why. Especially if you were not prone to constipation before this all started.

Once the acute problem is over I suggest making sure you take plenty of fluids and fiber to keep any more bouts of constipation from repeating.

I just read this book and in it, the guy suggests going to a doctor to get a colon cleansing to help jumpstart your metabolism. Is it dangerous? Does it work? Does it make you feel better? How do they do it? Does it hurt?

And contemplate the idea that God is just absurd.
Hold on to this thought, its part of all the proof.

Two thousand years of anger, hurt and selfish blame.
All that has ever done is justify his claim.
He sat amongst the sick, and cured the lepers’ sores.

Not for gain or honour, he shunned all types of vice.

Could you use this mercy, in your hectic life?

Couldn’t tell you if there are any Rx colon cleanse products but I do know that some natural products CAN be effective for getting rid of toxins in the body. Li, I don’t believe in all of those OTC kits that are available these days because they can be full of chemicals. I do believe in colon cleansing, as in colonic irrigation’s. I have had this done many times, and you would not believe how good you feel and how much energy you have afterwords. I take an in home colonic once a month, its allot less expensive.

colon cleanse will give you diarrhoea – you lose fluid not fat.
There are no magical berries from Brazil, it’s a hyped up scam.
There are more antioxidants in blueberries, black cherries and /concord grapes.
Antioxidants will not aid weight loss.

Oprah Winfrey, Mehmet Oz, and Rachael Ray have all publicly disassociated themselves from the açai sites that make unauthorized use their names.
The diet ‘bloggers’ are just a mirage, their weight loss is courtesy of Photoshop, not açai.

For me, way too long. This should be split into two separate poems. The first would center around the questioning. You have some meter issues and perhaps some tightening of words would help. Not bad though, spend time in editing, the end result will be worth it.

The colon is self cleansing. A study of the living human anatomy reveals that the colon is at no time dirty or clogged.

Detox pills, and detoxification and cleansing in general, are neither useful nor necessary unless you have had long-term narcotic use or are chronically constipated. Detoxification and cleansing has no proven medical benefits for the average person whatsoever. It will NOT help you lose any significant amount of fat.

The only thing that will help you lose weight is a healthy lifestyle that consists of a proper diet and frequent exercise.

I have very large uterine fibroids. I want to begin a program where I will cleanse out my colon, liver and kidneys. This is a great question and having done all sorts of cleanses, plus lived in AZ, I agree that fasting on lemon drink is the last thing you want to do.

I haven’t always been overweight but now it’s starting to affect my health unfortunately… because my family has a history of diabetes. I signed up for the free trial of the Acai Berry and colon cleanse because of all the commercials and I want to know any input if it works. If you wanted to do something for your colon health then just take some psyllium husk (metamucil) daily as directed on the package.
If you want to lose weight and try to avoid diabetes then diet and exercise. If it was easy we would all be lean and healthy.

I am 17 years old, I have been having digestive problem over the past year. I don’t have a bowel movement after 1 pm, and the size of my stool decrease in size after a bowel movement. No pain, No inflammation. Its very difficult for me to have a bowel movement after the morning. Before all this, i had a bowel movement after eating. My digestive system was great , but not now. I do try i can do a flush out with fruits and vegetable because i’ll lose weigh easily because i play soccer. I’m 5,7 about 130-135 pounds. I have been thinking of a natural colon cleanse supplement. But i don’t know with one. Does anybody know of a good colon cleanse? Is it a laxative? Or is there anyway to cleanse my colon? the body is really an amazing organ – as long as you have a good diet and drink plenty of liquids – esp water, you don’t need to go "cleaning out your system" we’re not a car. There is actually a lot of different things going on inside our bodies and doing colon cleansings can cause an inbalance in the natural state of affairs. We have certain "good" bacteria in our body doing what it’s supposed to do – you don’t want to wash them out! colon cleansing is just what the other guy said – a way to make a bunch of $ off of people.
there are some times a reason for what’s called a high colonic enema (basically what is advertised as a colon cleansing)- but that’s something that should only be done by a health care professional and only for certain reasons. they really aren’t the most fun thing in the world to go through – why anyone would to pay someone a bunch of $ to do that when it really isn’t necessary is beyond me.

I have seen these adds before for the Acai berry and the colon cleanse for a free 30 day trial but I’m afraid it is a rip off. Has anyone every ordered it and not gotten ripped off? I can’t answer this directly, but all people should have a certain amount of bacteria in their colons to finish the digestive process. If you kill the bacteria, then the nutrients don’t get broken down and absorbed. The colon isn’t the organ that will cause you to get toxic (unless you puncture it). The liver and kidneys can fail, causing toxicity. Toxic conditions from the bowel? It just doesn’t exist (unless you get constipated to the point of rupturing your colon or get shot/stabbed)

I’ve been reading about these over the counter colon cleanse powders and pills that are supposed to make you feel healthier, but I’m worried about side effects, like having to use the bathroom constantly. Has anyone out there tried products like Bromalite or Cleanse RX?

As humans we are allowed to live on and be apart of earth. Humans are like cells functioning within a body. As long as humans (the cells) are living in a healthy manner we live peacefully in correlation w/earth. However, as humans advance and create technology that intervenes with & begins to decay our environment we have become as an unhealthy cell within a functioning body. I mean i hear people talk of being a Christian and being saved, but how can you be really sure that you truly are saved?

I have been thinking about it lately and it occurred to me that there are so many people in the world who are convinced that they are saved but they do not " continue" to walk in the Spirit. I have come to a point where when people say "dont judge me cause the Lord knows what is in my heart" but i say to them i can tell by your works what is in your heart. A good tree will never bear bad fruits and if you are bearing bad fruits there is but one explanation—you are not saved—no matter how many reasons the person finds to justify their way of life. If a person is not bearing the fruit of the Spirit he cannot truthfully say that he is saved.

Take this scripture for example, what it says about one that should be renewed in the Spirit…

Ezekiel 36:24-28 (King James Version)

24For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

One of the most striking thing about this scripture is how it explains the working of the Holy Spirit in a converted soul. The Bible says that "And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them" Jesus says that if we continue in his words then we are truly his disciples and Paul says that there is therefore no condemnation to them who are IN Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. All these verses tell me one thing clearly..that someone who is saved cannot continue in sin. It tells me that God is so watchful over those who belong to Him that he will not allow them to be plucked out of his hands and that is why he will cause them to walk in his statutes

David i see your point but you have forgotten that although we cannot "work" our way into being saved or gaining heaven, our new nature is shown through a manifestation of our work. ..by their works you shall know them! ( Matthew 7:20) The Bible speaks clearly of the fruits of the Spirit. This clearly suggest that there is no way people can live and act like devils and still be saved.
Thank you Hogie, i completely agree. Christianity is not just about making confessions and believing that one is forgiven of sins. It is a way of living of being "separated" unto God. It is a total denial of self and its worldly lust and surrendering completely to the will of God. We cannot be IN Christ until we have truly surrender all of ourselves and lifestyle to him.

When you have made room for the Holy Spirit in the temple your heart, when you have sunk your roots deep into the things of God, when you have a daily relationship with God…..you know.

I’m looking for an all natural colon cleanse program by only eating certain foods. No drugs. No herb supplements. I feel there must be a way to do this as nature intended. I do not trust herbal products as they are processed by man.. the only ones I trust are the ones I can pick myself. And there are some parts of the world where herbs are not grown.. these peoples must have had a way to clean their colon without herbs. Ok so im doing the colon cleansing diet/ fasting. Im just starting so of course im gona feel a little full for a day or 2 but is there any way that i can feel full without eating a single thing. If you are fasting, ignore the other 2 posts. Fruit juice IS food and Flax is food as well (although the flax is a good way to "clean house") I have found that soda waters keep me quite full (e.g. canada dry makes some flavored ones and Lacroix makes them as well) They are usually by the bottled water/vitamin waters in the grocery store and are nothing but flavor and fizzy water. Crystal light is pretty much just chemicals and would prob be a very bad idea on an empty stomach.

It depends on what you’re trying to do it for. If you’re just trying to clean out the bad stuff and help regularity, then colon cleanses are best, although the powders are usually easier so you aren’t swallowing a dozen pills at a time. Colon cleanses are typically mostly fiber and herbs that encourage regularity, so they are very beneficial and safe.
If you are doing it for a colonoscopy or something where your colon needs to be REALLY clean, then hydrotherapy is the only option.

If you’re wondering which is safer, that would be the colon cleanser. There are some things that should be in your colon (specifically probiotics) that an enema would wash out which could be detrimental to long-term regularity. In other words, an enema is only a short-term help and will make you more constipated if you use them too often. Fiber products would work with your body’s chemistry to keep things moving normally. HELP! Aveeno Cream for Eczema?
Hi people, I have mild eczema on my face, especially the area beside the corner of my lips, and my chin. It’s always dry, scaly and red. I’m really sick and tired of all the steroid creams that I’ve been prescribed by my local dermatologist, I have many ones that I think I can open a pharmacy shop. Anyway, I’ve read many questions regarding eczema and many people recommend a moisturizer product called "Aveeno". I am wondering if I only apply Aveeno moisturizer alone, will it really cleanse away the problem? Well for a baby the doctors say not to put any steroidal cream. Just the aveeno lotion. But it could be different for adults. My mom has eczema though, and its as though her skin has become dependent on the cortisone cream. Why dont u try just the aveeno cream first, and see if it works alone? I hope this helps!!!

what do you think might happen if i take it anyway?

You really should try to loose weight the natural way. Personally I think if you take pills or other weight loss products your body gets confused. I see it as doing it naturally as in eating the right foods, lowering your calorie intake, and getting at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday, you are training your body and your body is learning and getting used to everything. It’s a lot of work but your body will get into a cycle and not want to crave those foods or drinks again. Hope this helped!

Okay, so I was reading up on religion last night, and came upon this list of all the things Catholics supposedly do that are against the bible. I don’t know too much about the bible, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is any truth behind any of this (btw, I didn’t type up any of the following list, I simply copied and pasted it; all someone else’s words)?

Say the Our Father just once and then tell him you love him, praise him, tell him what you need, pray for others, pray for yourself, ask him to renew your mind and heart, invite him into your heart, ask him to mold you into the child he has always desired you to become, be willing to do whatever he wants for your life, talk to him like a friend! He created you to fellowship with him! Ask Jesus to be on the throne of your life guiding your every step. Be willing to turn from all your sin…Live for him and he will give you everlasting life!

#2) Jesus NEVER instructed us to pray rto Mary!!!!!!! In fact he said not to! He sais to pray to God ALONE and Jesus ALONE can interceed to the throne of God. We pray to the Father through Jesus. We end our prayers "In Jesus name" Mary cannot hear our prayers. She does not have the ability too. She is in heaven and can only hear one person at a time. And there are no tears in heaven. She NEVER is upset and NEVER crys. We can pray WITH people in earth but all our prayers can go only to God the TRINITY! We can pray for people to GOD alone.

#3) Jesus says in his word Mary is NOT the eternal virgin. God says in his word Mary was ONLY a virgin until Jesus was born. After Jesus was born Mary began having sex with Joseph and had other children.

#4) Infant baptism is unbiblical. Jesus said REPENT and be baptized. We have to be baptized when we are at the age to make the decision too. Babies that die go to heaven. They are innocent.

#5) Purgatory is made up. It is unbiblical and it is NOT wirtten in the Bible. Jesus said to the thief on the cross "Today you will be with me in paradise" The word also says " To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." It is the Holy Spirit that cleanses us daily. When we enter heaven we will immedietly be transformed and be perfect. We do not need to burned before. Jesus saved us from this. That is the purpose of the cross.

#6) To bow in front of a statue to pray is breaking one of the ten commanmdents. Jesus said to even MAKE a graven image is condemned!!

#7) Jesus said not to abstain from marriage or from certain foods.

#8) Jesus said not to call anyone fatehr on earth yet priests call themselves "Fathers."

#9) The Bible says anyone who is saved and has the Holy Spirit living in them is a Saint. The Catholic church only declares certain people a saint. This is totally against what Jesus says in his word.

#10) We can not get to heaven by being a good person and doing good works. Even if a Buddhist spends his whole life helping the poor if someone witnessed Jesus to him and he rejected the message he has no salvation. LOVE false religions enough to tell them the truth! People say they don’t want to hurt their feelings. I would rather tell them the truth if the truth will get them a ticket to heaven for all eternity!

#11) The Catholic church no longer swears by the Bible. But Jesus says,"Heaven and earth will pass away but my word will NEVER!" THAT is how important it is!

The so-called brothers and sister of Jesus were actually His cousins. Close kinsmen were considered brothers by Jewish custom.

4) Paul baptized entire households and there is nothing said about "Except for the babies and toddlers." Baptism is the beginning of our walk with Christ, and there are spiritual benefits to be gained by baptizing children early.

5) Purgatory is very Biblical, which you’d know if Martin Luther hadn’t hacked 7 books out of your Bible because he didn’t like what they said. Besides being an ancient Jewish belief, the doctrine of Purgatory is supported by II Maccabees.

6) JESUS NEVER SAID ANY OF THAT. The Bible says that worshiping an idol is a sin, but not all images are idols. If that’s the case, then God broke His own commandments by ordering Moses to make a bronze serpent to stop the outbreak of snakebite deaths.

7) Priests have the same right to marry as anyone else. They simply can’t be priests and be married, that’s all. Paul also says that he wishes everyone could be as he was: i.e., celebate.

And the Church only asks us to abstain from eating meat on Fridays and Holy Days in Lent. That’s hardly the same thing as forbidding us to eat meat at all.

Jesus told us not to call just anyone "Father." If He meant that no one could be called by that title, then both St. Paul and St. John are in deep trouble. Paul said that you can have ten thousand instructors in Christ, but only a few fathers in the spiritual sense. St. John addresses the fathers in his letters, and it’s clear that he’s referring to spiritual fathers.

Jesus was warning us to avoid those who love to make themselves into spiritual gurus and be important. He never meant we couldn’t call anyone "Father."

9) Again, that’s wrong. Everyone who believes in Christ is a saint with a small "s." Those saints who lived unusually holy lives and loved God very much are eligible to be designated "Saints" with a capital "S."

The Church never claimed that only cannonized people qualified as saints.

10) The Church teaches that there is only one means of salvation, and that is through the Precious Blood of Jesus, shed on the Cross as the perfect sacrifice for sins. We don’t believe in a "false gospel of works," as we’re often accused of. We *do* concur with St. James that "Faith without works is dead."

11) All Catholic doctrine is based on and must agree with Scripture. Sacred Tradition and the teachings of the Magesterium (the scholars of the Church) must all be in line with Scripture and each other when doctrine is formulated.

I hope that begins to answer your questions. Any one of them could have been the subject of an entire post, so I had to truncate my responses. (This is already the longest post I’ve ever made here in R&S.)

Seriously, do a search for each topic individually, and you’ll find more detailed answers from Catholics who’ve studied their Faith and know what the Church really teaches. I guarantee, it won’t be anything like the bigots and the Catholic bashers claim that it is.

Almost three weeks ago, I began to eat healthier. I cut out fast food, soda, sweets, and meats (except for eggs) and I try to always eat organic dairy. I take a multi-vitamin w/minerals, flaxseed oil and a natural urinary tract cleansing pill. Also, after being sedentary for about 2 years, I began walking/running/doing something active everyday. Seven days ago, I started to do bikram yoga and did it for six days straight until today when I took a break because I felt so tired. I know that I will have muscle fatigue but I could barely keep my eyes open today. I took about three naps and can’t wait to go to bed. And I also have had a pretty dull, consistent headache for the past couple of days. By the way, I am a 20 yo female.

My normal day of eating consists of this:
1 packet of oatmeal w/ half a grapefruit or half a banana
1-2 hard boiled eggs
1 yogurt w/13 almonds
yellow pepper slices
raspberries
boca burger on a spelt english muffin w/a veggie or grapes on the side
10-12 glasses of water throughout the day
1 serving coconut water

I was wondering if I am missing any nutrients or if there is something I can tweak or change to make myself feel a little better and have some more energy/get rid of this headache.

All i can say is that you are doing a little too much at once. My Grandmother did the same as you and had to go to the doctor cause she was to weak to do anything. The doctor stated that seeing that she hadn’t done anything in a while her body was tired from all the work it was being put through. So all i can is take a little brake then start back.
